Fishing and Hunting Decor

Decorating with a fishing or hunting theme might not sound attractive to many women, but for some men it’s the perfect way to bring their favorite hobbies to life.

Decorating with a Hunting Theme

Get a nice gun rack and hang it up in your fishing room. All those stuffed moose heads you’ve been collecting also belong here. You can use hunting gear for decor, just hang it by the door. Finally, you can put in all of your hunting books and videos, that bow & arrow and other survival gear. A bear skin rug will look nice on the floor. On the ceiling, you can hang up an antler chandelier.

Decorating with a Fishing Theme

Several web vendors sell decorative aluminum fishing signs, but one of the best ways to decorate with fishing items is to open up your tackle box. You can use fishing lures as decor, stringing them up like a garland. You can frame your favorite big catch, and even use a desktop publishing program to make the fish look bigger. Boating gear, like oars and that rusted old canoe will look great in your fishing room. Use it to hang up your Billy Bass singing fish, put all those fishing books and videos up on a shelf and even that hideous fishing tie that you got for Christmas.

I had, at one time, an article about, with pictures of an office decorated in a sporting (hunting-fishing) theme. I have misplaced the article and fear that the magazine has been thrown out. The office held the usual office equipment–desk w/ computer, telephone, etc.; walls were painted “Hunter Green” and had “built-in” bookcases an several walls. I would appreciate any assistance and direction in finding any information, literature, photos or the like, in this regard. I thank you in advance for any assistance you may offer. E.H.B. IV.
